HEALTH & PHYSICAL EDUCATIONIn Health and Physical Education, students develop the knowledge, understanding and skills to strengthen their sense of self, and build and manage satisfying relationships. The curriculum helps them to be resilient, and to make decisions and take actions to promote their health, safety and physical activity participation.
Integral to Health and Physical Education is the acquisition of movement skills, concepts and strategies to enable students to confidently, competently and creatively participate in a range of physical activities. The program is planned to meet the needs of children from Foundation to Year 6. All activities are sequentially planned and are aimed to help the children of varying physical and mental abilities to acquire skills that are necessary for performing in games, dance, ball handling, athletics, and swimming. All Saints’ students participate in inter-school activities organized by the Zone. We have our own Athletics Carnival each year, and compete in the Inter-schools Athletics carnival. |
